Here is an early 1973 Honda CB 450. It has a build date from the fall of 1972, titled as a ’73. I took the liberty of painting it the ’72 color scheme which I find to be more beautiful. We gave the bike a full repaint including the frame as described in our “about us” section. It has low mileage so it sat a long time and one of the cylinders had low compression due to stuck rings, so we pulled the motor apart and honed the cylinders, the piston clearance was perfect at 0.0022”, installed new rings, lapped the valves, installed new fresh rubber valve guide seals from Western Hills Honda, used a new Honda factory head gasket set, rebuilt carburetors, ignition timing and valve clearances set, new front tire and front fork seals with gaiters, seat is NOS, There is a raindrop on the seat which represents my negligence as a photographer in a very wet and cloudy spring here in River Falls, WI. The chrome is very good original except for a couple small pieces which we rechromed. The mufflers and headers are very good original. It has a new drive chain. All electrics work as they are supposed to. It is a beautiful bike in perfect running condition. It only has 5 miles on the restoration, waiting for the new owner to break in and enjoy. We have sent several bikes to Norway, Switzerland, and France recently so we can help with shipping anywhere.
