This is a 1970 Honda CB 450 K3, the first 450 with the disc brake, megaphone style mufflers, 19” front rim with rubber fork gaiters, and second year of the wider style tank. This was a well preserved original which received our complete new House of Kolor studio paint job along with a strip and paint of the frame, engine aluminum strip and polish, new tires, carburetor rebuild, points and timing set, and the many small details that make the bike a pleasure to ride and look at. This 6,310 mile bike is ready to go. All electrics work to spec. There are some blemishes in the chrome in spots, for example the back fender has a hazy area just behind the seat that may have been the result of a back pack. It is subtle enough that I cannot photograph it. The rear rim has a couple of 1/8”chrome blemishes, and the left muffler has no holes but some acid discoloration which I could not photograph either. We decided to limit the amount of rechroming so we could sell this bike for $3,250. If a collector wanted to go the distance all that would be needed is some rechroming. It is a good looking bike as is. It would be a jewel with further cosmetics.
Testimonial from its buyer:
"I got the bike yesterday, 07/11/13. I love it and so does everybody else that sees it. I got it inspected and titled in my name today."
